This intermediate course is for those who have completed the Introduction to Access course or who have at least created their own tables and a few basic forms using Access. This course focuses on turning a database into a user-friendly experience so that anyone in an organisation can use it.
This course covers:
- An overview of the different data types and knowledge of how to make sure your database is correctly set up.
- An understanding of default values and primary keys.
- Experience and understanding of designing forms to view your data.
- Experience and understanding of using more than one table to hold data.
- Experience and understanding of using combo boxes to find records and offer the user a choice.
- Experience and understanding of creating a switchboard to become the ‘hub’ of your database and making ‘Command Buttons’ to navigate around your database.
It is recommended (but not essential) that participants also attend Intermediate Access Part B – Queries and Reports.
