Exeter CVS mission statement:

Exeter CVS is an infrastructure organisation that supports and promotes voluntary and community activity and encourages co-operation with other sectors to develop a more just, caring and inclusive society.

Exeter CVS aims:

  1. Develop the effectiveness of local voluntary and community groups by providing support services such as information, advice, volunteer development and learning opportunities.
  2. Identify emerging service needs, identify gaps in delivery and support initiatives to address these.
  3. Encourage partnerships between the public, private and voluntary sectors in social, economic and community development and services.
  4. Support creativity, innovation and best practice in the delivery of local services.
  5. Encourage and provide opportunities for different voluntary and community groups and organisations to work together and with other sectors.
  6. Consult with and encourage the involvement of local voluntary and community groups to put forward their views on policies and decisions that may affect them.
